For January 30, 2019
Hi WN@TL Fans,
With projections of -60F windchills on Wednesday, and with the approval of Robert Lemanske, I have cancelled Wednesday Nite @ The Lab for January 30.
Prof. Lemanske’s talk on “The Childhood Origins of Asthma” is rescheduled for March 13. I hope it’ll be balmier by then.
There will be no presentation at Wednesday Nite @ The Lab on January 30.

I first arrived in Madison at the end of the first week of January 1982. I believe it was three days of 20 below or colder. I had to bring my car’s battery into my new apartment at 308 S. Brooks to keep it from freezing—the battery, that is.
Cold may numb the skin, but the memories remain crisp forever.

Next week (February 6) Jason Fletcher of the LaFollette School will be here to talk about “Molecular Me: Exploring the Social Implications of the Genomics Revolution.”
I hope to see you again next week at Wednesday Nite @ The Lab.
Thanks!
