Save the date for 2026: April 10th – 12th
Come explore UW-Madison – your public university – and experience science on April 4-6th. Interact with researchers, visit dozens of science venues across campus, enjoy Science Spectacular Shows, and try your hand at interactive Exploration Stations. From astronomy to zoology, UW Science Expeditions is the annual campus-wide science open house that connects you to UW people & places all year round. All events are free and open to the public.
Exciting news for 2025: Join the School of Veterinary Medicine on Sunday for an exciting open house during the UW–Madison Science Expeditions. Explore family-friendly, hands-on veterinary medical teaching stations, hear presentations from our expert faculty, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the state-of-the-art SVM North Building, which houses our new teaching hospital and significantly expands our spaces for research, education, and collaboration.

Trolley Routes:
The trolley will run periodically in a loop (9am – 4:30pm on Saturday and 10:30am – 4:30pm on Sunday) – see map/timetable above for trolley stops (look for the green “X”s).
Free Campus Bus Routes:
- 80, 81, 82 & 84
- Find the nearest stop on the interactive campus map. All buses are kneeling buses and are capable of transporting wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
